RPM- Conflict Checking

Dear Support,

We are on RPM 12.0.10, Would like to know the following.

Created new Promotion / Clearance in RPM and directly approved it. When we check the status , it shows : ConflictCheckForApproved.

1. What is Conflict Check in RPM and Use of it?

2. How to go further to Test Promotion / Clearance between RPM-POS?

Kindly elaborate for the above queries, including sequence of batches to execute and tables to refer.
