Auto application of prepayment?

Hi,

Is it possible,  auto application of prepayment to a standard invoice?

Example :  We created a prepayment against a PO and made payment,  when we account the standard invoice against the same PO, can the system automatically apply the prepayment to the invoice.

Please suggest.
