End Large Promotion

Does anyone have any experience ending a promotion from the back-end?  We have a very large promotion where some location moves have created individual store records which we need to end; however we are unable to pull up the promotion within the user interface.  This appears to be performance related and is being worked on but in the meantime we need to correct these promotional prices.
