Custom Page asset in Content Server 7.6.2

Hi,

We are considering to redo our current object model. We are using content server 7.6.

One of the idea was not to use Page asset at all and create a custom Page asset.

I have a few concerns about the approach.

We will lose the ease to create siteplan, navigation and breadcrumbs.

In order to evaluate this approach, I would like to ask the following questions:

  • Is it even possible to get rid of page asset completely in Content Server page asset 7.6.2?
  • Are there any other implications of not using page asset in Caching or in any other area?

Why are we considering custom Page asset? It's because we can not add custom fields to the page asset easily and if we add then we will have to move those customization's manually when we upgrade to Oracle Web Center Sites.

Howdy, Stranger!
