Mixed Mode Printing (PCL and POSTSCRIPT) in EBS R12.1.3

We are having operational issues with printing PCL and POSTSCRIPT on a single printer.  In R11, we had solutions to deal with custom reports (Oracle Reports) because only custom reports required POSTSCRIPT output.  Now, in R12 there are many many seeded reports that use BI Publisher and PDF output.  We have solved that problem with PASTA but still have a problem when we have reports across multiple operating units (OU) that output PCL (TEXT) in some cases and POSTSCRIPT (PDF) in others.  We can't set the printer in seeded reports because the printer names are different for each OU and
