Cross-Validation Rules and Shift F5

Cross-validation rules are enforced with initial account entry of a journal. However, if you use Shift F5 to copy the account to the next line you are able to modify the copied account to an account combination that violates the cross-validation rules. Is this a bug or a configuration issue?
