what is the recommended database mode to switch from dataguard to SAN-SAN replication

Hi,

We are using rac-rac dataguard on oracle 11.2.0.1 on RHEL5 platform. My management wants to use SAN-SAN replication. We have already sink data on new SAN on DR site. At the same time dataguard is running with the old SAN. Now I want to present the new SAN disks to the DB hosts in DR and use SAN-SAN replication.

My Question is

1. Do I have to keep the DR database as physical standby mode or convert it to primary mode ?
