Create new business group

I am working on a project to implement Oracle Financials for a subsidiary of a parent company in another subsidiary's environment. So -- Company A and Company B are both subsidiaries of Company Z. Company A is on 11.5.10 and Company B is on 12.1.3. Company B is bringing Company A into its existing 12.1.3 instance, but both entities will still be their own distinct legal entities. Company B already has 2 business groups defined and has been on R12 since 2010.
We will need HR information for Company A's people in the Company B instance. The cleanest way I can think of to keep Company A's HR data separate from Company B's is to create a new business group for Company A. Is there anything else to consider when creating a new business group in an instance that has already been established? There will be no need to share resources between entities or anything like that.
