How can a BI Publisher template reference a document on an internal Sharepoint site?

I'm running BI Publisher Desktop 11.1.1.5~11.1.1.7.  I've referenced E1: XMLP: How Can I Embed Dynamic Conditional Messages into an RTF Template? (Doc ID 817099.1) to be able to incorporate a reference from my BI Publisher template to text from a document on our network.  I have successfully tested this method, but would like to take it a step further.

Is there a way to reference a document on an internal Sharepoint site?  The article above calls for the use of UNC of a file's path on a machine on the network (ex. import:file:///c:/temp/message.rtf).  However, Sharepoint uses a URL when searching for the files via Windows Explorer.  If this is possible, what would the syntax be to reference the document that's in a Sharepoint library?  Thanks,
