Hi.

First time patching.   I have an instance of R12.1 Oracle installed   It has never been patched.

Things i have done to this point

1.     Went into Patch Wizard and set my staging directory to   /home/oracle/stage

2.     At this point will not allow me to enter my metalink credentials( I have a my oracle support account).. From what i understand i need to apply a patch before i can attach my metalink credentials.

3.     put the InfoBuncleR12.zip file in the /home/oracle/stage  

4.     stopped all processes    ./adstpall.sh

5.     currently i am trying to enable maintenance mode by run the adadmin utility
