Cafe1 in JDE

I'm new to this and was having an issue using Cafe1 linking  a third party URL.  It works on a standard JDE form but we have a custom grid form.  When I go to select the field(s) I want to use in my URL, only the grid header field has the + beside it.  None of my grid columns have the + as I would expect.  Again, if I go to a standard JDE screen with a grid, it works fine.  Just not on our custom grid.  Is there something we have to do different on the custom grid?  The
