Installing Agile 9.3.3 on Unix

Hi.   I'm installing Agile 9.3.3 on Unix from my Windows 7 PC.   I'm in a Putty window that has X11 Forwarding Enabled, and I have Xming running.   this has worked on previous installations.    the problem I'm having is that when the screen requires an input, it won't allow me to type.  what's really odd is that some of the screens will allow me to type, but others won't.  I was able to right-click on some of the fields and paste the input, but it will not allow that on the password fields.   has anybody had this problem and know of a solution?
