Pros & Cons of using BI publisher v/s Bottom line/Option with JDE 9.1

We are in pharma mfg industry. Have requirements to use 2D barcodes. Can BI publisher handle 2D bar codes as any other forms design solution like Bottom line or optio?

Pros & Cons of using BI publisher v/s Bottom line/Option with JDE 9.1?

If anyone has any opinion one or the other pls contribute. Also state any challenges faced in past
