Searching with Wildcards in OutsideIn HTML5 Web Viewer

Is there a way to use wildcards in the Javascript API with the 8.5.0 beta2 Web Viewer?  document.find( ) doesn't handle wildcards and I haven't had any luck with various attempts at highlighting through different ways.

Also, a side note -- is this the proper community forum for this sort of question?  I could not find any areas that looked to be OutsideIn-specific...
