pgCacheTimeOut—can only be zero

G'day,

In the property guide documentation (chapter 9, page 24 of the PDF), it says not to change this value and it must be set to 0 for cached pages to get flushed properly.

If that is the case, why make it a configurable property in the first place?


How would setting it to say 1440 cause any problems (assuming values for CS and SS cache strings are always set to the same value)? I vaguely recall seeing it set to that value in earlier versions of the product.


The concern with the value zero is that all pages and pagelets will be cached for 10 years, and that may present a problem in some use cases.
