Unable to enlarge field due to anchors

in Oracle Reports (MOSC) Question

Hi,

We are upgrading from EBS 11i to R12.

I am modifying an Oracle Report rdf file (version Report Builder 10.1.2.3.0)

I am attaching a screen shot. In the layout we have a number of fields all connected by anchors. I need to delete a few fields and also adjust the size of existing fields in the horizontal direction.

However when I am trying to expand a field - all the objects to the right are moving to the right, rather than the space between the fields shortening.

This I guess is due to anchors between the fields.

Can anyone tell me what is simplest way to adjust the size of the fields without disturbing the anchors.
