Processor compatibility groups.

in Oracle VM (OVM) (MOSC) Question

Hi,

how are you dealing with processor compatibility groups ?

Basically the support told me : "Move all hypervisors within the same group ; test Live Migration, if it works then you're done".

I'm not satisfied with that response. Having a Live Migration going OK once (or twice or ten times) does not mean that it will ALWAYS work.

So, is there a list a 100% compatible processors, as regards Live Migration for Oracle VM / Xen ?

What is your practice ?
