E1 9.1 Update 2: R09801: Error: Document Type not in Doc Type File (F40039/P40040)

Hi --

We are in the process of going "Code Current" which means we are moving to E1 9.1 Update 2 (from Update 1) and applying all ESUs available through May.  We are testing this in the DV environment.  We are now getting the attached error in the Work Center EVERY time we post a batch (it seems to be any type of batch).

From what I can tell, P40040 has been around since 8.12.  We have never used it (we upgraded from World 2 years ago and we don't use most of the Distribution modules at this point) and have never set anything up in that table.  Is there a new setting in an ESU that needs to be changed so we don't get this error?  Or are we now forced to use this table and keep it updated?  There does seem to be a conversion program that will update the table... is that what we need to run?  How often?
