ODA X4-2 ASM Instance Restarts with "PMON (ospid: 96472): terminating the instance due to error 493"

ODA patch level 2.8.0.0.0

Oracle 11.2.0.4

All the databases on one node of an ODA restarted due to the ASM instance on that node restarting.  ASM instance and DBs on other node unaffected.  We can't find a reason why.  MOS has been no help.  Haven't filed an SR yet. Hoping for some info.
