BI Publisher 11g Standlone instead of JasperReports

Hello guys,

I am in top of architecture decision about document generation engine. We have several documents to be generated by our java applications which these documents does not have too much data, instead of this, we have some rules and complex design in each document.

We have developed a POC using JasperReports / iReport which proved to be reached because Jasper could be called in a standlone way without to be plugged in a server.

We already have OBIEE licensed, which for ROI reasons we have to consider BI publisher as a possible solution. So, in order to start a POC we have to be sure that BI Publisher 11g could be called in a standlone way as JasperReports also can be.
