Solaris 11.2 AI install from Unified Archive fails

Hi Folks,

I'm having fun exploring the new features of 11.2. My favourite at the moment is the Unified Archive facility which I can see will save me loads of time setting up systems for my training classes in the future.

This is by no means an urgent problem, but I thought any feedback on 11.2 beta might be useful.


I'm trying to install a SPARC Ldom on a T5120 from a Solaris 11.2 x86 AI server which is running under VMWare.

The install uses a Unified Archive located in a web server directory, which the AI manifest points to.

Everything works perfectly until late on in the install process when it falls over with the following:-
