Resource "ora.asm" in RAC12c Flex ASM.

Hi

I found a tiny different of   resource "ora.asm" in RAC12c Flex ASM :  There is an additional idle ASM instance deployed by GI install although we only got 2 RAC nodes.

What is the idle ASM instance used for ?


-      RAC 12c

-     Flex ASM with 2 nodes

-     There are 3 ASM instance created by GI installation , while we only have 2 Nodes

-     What is the additional ASM instance used for ?
