Process Category Mandatory for Tranfer Journal entires to GL ?

Hello, the customer mentioned that after aplying some patches, when running the process Transfer Journal Entires to GL , the criterion "process category" became mandatory- it was actually what he was looking for from the biginning.

Could you please let me know if there is such a patch that does that or an upgrade of the Payable R12?

I have tested on internal instance and when running from Payables  the Transfer Journal Entries to GL process , the Process category can be left blank and the process finishes ok.

Also, i didn't find any note on this issue nor a thread on communities.
