Consignment Inventory - Setups and Transactions

Hi Guys,

a quick question....

Why are we not able to create blanket releases for consignment items? We are creating BPA's, ASL, etc setups for consignment items but when we try to create releases, the system throws an error/note. (Note: You cannot create releases for consigned material. Please select another line.)
However when we create standard purchase order then the transaction is done smoothly.

Need to understand this anomaly.
