COD XML Validation

Does PeopleSoft check that the XML file that is created to send to COD is valid according to the proper COD XML schema as the file is being created and report any errors?   In the Webcast for Fin Aid Regs Release 3 (bundle #33) you recomment we validate our XML files prior to sending them to COD.  I would think PS would be doing this as we run the functionality for COD export.  If not, then would we have to check  this file manually everytime we send a file?   Or just the 1st time?  I see there is validation information
