ODA as virtualized platform without database?

Hi,

Is it possible to setup the ODA as a virtualized platform without installing the "integrated" enterprise edition database?

Our customer do not need (and do not want to pay for) an enterprise edition.

So we are thinking about to use the ODA just as virtualized platform and to setup 2 virtual machines and to install on those VM's oracle standard edition database as a RAC.

Will it be possible to attach the disks (or some of them) directly to the VM's? To use ASM in the VM's?

When the ODA is configured without a database on it, is ASM still available? for a cluster-filesystem ACFS? to have a shared storage place for the VM's?

Howdy, Stranger!
