RAC database upgrade to 12c failes

Environment Detail: 2 node RAC cluster.

Grid Infrastructure is already upgraded to 12.1.0.1 version

Attempting to upgrade RAC database "QA" (current version 11.2.0.2) getting below message:

DBUA: the database "QA" is a cluster database and cannot be upgraded as a single instance database
