AP Supplier migration from 11i to R12. are Parties automatically migrated ?

Hi , we are migrating AP Suppliers from a legacy 11i system to a R12 system ( using flat files extracted from 11i which will be loaded into R12 )

my question is , when Suppliers are migrated are the related parties, party sites automatically loaded or do we need to separately extract that information and load into R12 ?

same applies to AR Customers.
