Need some basic understanding of forecast dynamics in ascp!

Hi All,

I have few doubts over forecasts in ascp. Also through question 2, if someone can clarify about instance-organization setup.

1. How does global forecast spreads where ship from info is not there? Only logical answer  seems to me is sourcing rule but not quite getting the complete picture as to how planning through sourcing rule understands that part of forecast has to be satisfied through supply from specific org. I was thinking might be through the minimum intransit time setup between the zone of customer of a forecast and an org. But not sure if it goes to this detailed calculation.
