1099 GL Method

Hello,

We are on apps 9.0 with TR 9.1.3.1

I have a couple of general questions with regard to 1099 GL Method:

1) Does the address book record have to have cat code 7 populated with appropriat tax code (AC, A7, etc) as will as the AAI set up (Account setup in PXA7--)?  I have always populated cat code 7 regardless if I used AP or GL method.

2) When setting up gl accounts on AAIs - we have more than 49 set up for  A7 box (misc 1099) and all accts seem to be included in 1099 processing.  Is there still a limit to this?

     a) Can alpha be used in creating the Item numbers?  Example PXA7A1 Beginning, PXA7A2 Ending  vs PXA701 Beginning, PXA702 Ending
