Oracle Golden Gate

Hello

We currently have Oracle Streams implemented in our environment.  we have several streams processes capturing in different Oracle Databases applying to one Data Repository. We are hoping to install Golden gate as a proof of concept and evaluate it against our current streams environment.

Do we need to install Golden Gate on each of the Source Databases and the Target Database or can it be installed on an application server as a central repository with it connecting to the databases remotely, like Grid Control?
