EBS R12.1.3 Business Continuity using same host names, different domain

Has anyone been successfull in  setting up disaster recovery scenario for EBS R12 with Standby database (11gR2) using hostnames that match the primary hosts for dbtier and apptier except they are hosted on a different subnet mask , so a different domain than the primary servers? 

To just switch the standby database to primary and bring up application services.

There will be a load balancer in front of the DR systems to direct users to the appropriate url in case of failover.

The goal is to have minimal manual steps after failover, i.e. no adconfig.
