IS IRM upgrade required for upgrade from 8.0.0.13 to 8.1.1.11?

Hi Community,

 

Could you please confirm if IRM upgrade is required from 8.0.0.13 to 8.1.1.11.  From the MOS documents I checked, yes it is required.

But customer says it is not. I hope you may help with confusion.

Secondly, Are there screenshots available for IRM and normal upgrade in some SR sor MOS link?
