Move management agent to new agent base

We are moving to a new disk subsystem and I need to move the agent from it's current location to a new location.  What is the best way to do this?  This is an agent on a database machine, not the agent on the OMS machine itself.  Do I simply remove all of the targets that the agent is currently monitoring then uninstall and reinstall the agent in the new agent base?  Is there a way to simply migrate the current agent base to a different agent base?
