A RAC without GNS support, do I need to have a DNS client configuration?

My env is a RAC database based on 2 linux servers.

This RAC doesn't support GNS.

So I think I don't need to config DNS client at these 2 linux servers. Is it?

For the concept of GNS, I think DNS client majors for GNS. Is it?

If a RAC without GNS, the linux server not need to config DNS client. Right?
