Question for local governments using Projects in R12

We are a public sector entity using the Projects subledger and this question is for anyone having experience as a local government user or implementer.

Do you actually move cash match for grants into the PA subledger as opposed to just budgeting it there? Or does the cash match remain in the general ledger only and it is handled as a reconciling item between the GL and PA subledger?

Any insight and suggestions are welcome!
