Can an independent condition be used to notify when a contract fails to create a sales order

Hi,

I'm hoping someone may be able to help.

We currently have an independent condition in place which will send a notification to a user when a contract fails to renew (evergreen contract).

I would like to know if it's possible to do a similar thing with sales order creation?

I don't have any experience of the contracts module and have inherited this requirement.
