Data Guard Primary vs Physical Standby DB Instance Ratio

I am not Database expert, and I am keen to find out more on Data Guard 11g. I have a question:
@ Primary role if I have multiple database instances across two separate DB Infrastructure Hosts, say 4 different DB instances on each DB host.
Does this mean if I want to do a Physical Standby Configuration, my Standby DB instance to Primary DB instance ratio HAVE to be 1:1?
Or would that be possible to have just one DB instance @ Standby to cover multiple Primary DB instances for DB replication?
