Put link to a Report on the Homepage

Hi,

I would like to put a link to a report on the homepage in the CRM.  I have tried using a Global Web Applet, but it is displaying the actual report and not the link.  I have a sales report on the home page and I want to show this year's report and then a link to open last year's report in another window.  I think I can either do this with a narrative view on this year's report or a glpbal web applet, but I am having trouble with the syntax.  any help would be most appreciated.
