BI Publisher desktop tool and LDAP security model

Hi,

Let me first give you a brief idea about the system used by our client. We have the BI publisher web deployed via. Citrix which is accessed by the user's through LDAP (Active Directory) security model.

Now we have a client requirment to install the BI publisher desktop tool to the user's PC. So my question is - 1) will this tool work with the LDAP security model? 2) If we are not able to provide users this tool,
due to the above constraint, can the users avail the tool functionality in the BIP web application and how?
