FND_LOBS converting from basic to secure file questions (Re-Org as per note 1451379.1)

Hope someone can answer these questions:

Customer is performing FND_LOBS table Re-Org , since the table size is 3.8TB. Following Metalink Note 1451379.1, they are using Online Redefinition Method to re-org FND_LOBS but not moving the Files to Securefile.

Questions

1) They are creating interim FND_LOBS table in a new tablespace Called  APPS_TS_MEDIA1.

  Since they are creating new tablespace which is non OATM should they do any step to register the new tablespace with Application.

2) Is it mandatory to create the tablespace with "UNIFORM" allocation type?

  Their current APPS_TS_MEDIA tablespace is with "UNIFORM" and is having lot extents. Can they create the new tablespace with AUTO ALLOCATE type?
