Close Purchase Order based on Promised Date

Hi All -

Customer has business requirement to close purchase order lines when the promised date has passed even if this means closing the PO short, i.e. remaining quantity to be received.  Is there any existing functionality or feature to meet this req't?  I have not had any luck in finding anything.
