Remove Filesystem from inactive BE

LiveUpdate is stumbling over the activation of a new BE because a filesystem that is listed in an inactive BE is no longer present on the system. I'd like to remove that entry from the BE but don't know how to go about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Let me be more specific. Here is a clip of the output generated from trying to activate a new BE:

ERROR: error retrieving mountpoint source for dataset <rpool/root>

ERROR: failed to mount file system <rpool/root> on </.alt.s10x_u11wos_24a/root>

ERROR: unmounting partially mounted boot environment file systems
