Unaccounted transactions Report VS sub ledger Period close exception Report

Hello All ,

can any one explain me what is the difference b/w Unaccounted transaction report Vs Sub ledger Period close exception Report ?

When both the reports talk about finding out the transactions which couldn't be accounted which one is most recommended ?

is there anything I am missing ??
