Transfer lines from projects to assets module

Hi All,

We are currently creating assets from the projects module,

We have some transcations in the projects module recorded as single transactions which need to be split into many assets (400-500)

What is the best approach to do this?

Can we just transfer the lines from projects to assets and then perform split asset in prepare mass additions form?

Is there any other way to break up the transcations into many lines in projects module before transfering to asset module? (Doing it manually is not an option as there are many lines)
