Unable to reject aWork Request

We have a Work Request in a Status of “Additional Information”; it was created 5/6/11.  This Work Request has been back and forth between the requestor and maintenance approver a number of times and then all activity stopped 6/16/11.  I can view it as a Work Request, but I can’t reject it. We need to deactivate the Asset; but can't because of the open work request.
