OMW - release token after this sequence check out then Get

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/http://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/extension/Hi, i noticed that after i have done checking out an object, i then did GET, i still need to release token ...am i right ?

I can either release token or erase check out if no more design is taking place...

If i use GET, i can't check in to central object...GET would overwrite local spec ?  Meaning to say current R43500 with predefined format or processing option,, will it be overwritten?

pls clarify a little bit
