Using Secondary WH

Scenario: 

Vendor (V1) fulfills demand for warehouse WH1 and WH2. WH2 is set secondary source for WH1 and V1 is primary. WH1 fulfills demands for Store S1 and WH2 for S2. In case if WH1 couldn't fulfill full demand for Store S1, it checks the availability from both Primary and secondary sources and based on the lead time it decides from where to get the stock.

Replenishment Type = Min Max

Min = 500

Max = 4500

Current Stock – 100

Source = WH1

Order Lead Time = 1 Day

WH1 Setting

Replenishment Type = Min Max

Min = 500

Max = 3000

Current Stock – 3000

Source = V1

Secondary WH = W2

Order Lead Time = 4 Days
