Minimum / Maximum Salary By Job Type

Is it possible to have minimum, mid-point, and maximum salaries by job type "directly" without using the Pay Grade Step table? Our management is considering storing this information by every job type instead of using the ranges or grades that Pay Grade Step affords them.
