Communication through EDI HUB

Hello Experts

My client wants to use tradex as the hub for EDI PO outbound (850) and Invoice inbound (810). We wanted to use DIRECT communication before and did the setups accordingly in development environment, we did the testing and it works fine. Now with the process change can some please let me know the steps that are required for Hub? What would be the benefit of having this Hub? I used to setup trading partner in XML gateway for direct, one setup per supplier site, with this Hub do I need to setup just one trading partner?

Please advise
